  • EBSCOhost offers full-text articles from hundreds of magazines and newspapers. Our subscription offers a number of databases.
  • SIRS provides full-text articles selected from magazines and newspapers.

Specialized References  
  • Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center covers today's hottest social issues, offering information from both sides of an issue: pro and con articles, reference articles, and articles from magazines, newspapers, and journals, government and organizational statistics, some multimedia, and links to other websites. 

  • SIRS Decades features more than 5,000 hand-selected primary and secondary source articles highlighting key events, movements,people, and places in 20th-century America. (use the same login and password as SIRS)

  • Teen Health & Wellness offers reliable information on such topics as diseases, drugs, alcohol, nutrition, fitness, mental health, diversity, and family life.

  • CQ Researcher contains in-depth articles on a different timely issue each week. Articles cover various social issues including such topics as the environment, health, education, science, and technology. 

  • Gale Collection covers literature and authors, biography, science, and history.  It includes biographies, topical overviews, critical analyses, plot summaries, events, and media elements.

 

  • Wilson Biographies has thousands of authoritative biographies.  Included are all the articles from Current Biography, the Wilson Author Series, and other biographical references. 

 

  • CultureGrams provides information on the cultures of 182 countries and includes maps, statistics, and information on history, people, customs, lifestyles, and society.  Also has national anthems, photos, and recipes.

  • Discovery Education streaming (formerly United Streaming) is a searchable digital video database with thousands of videos, video clips and images for streaming and downloading. 

  • World Conflicts Today explores protracted, unresolved world conflicts, occurring in ten global trouble spots. (use the same login and password as SIRS)

  • Columbia-Granger's Poetry indexes poetry found in anthologies and the collected works of individual poets and includes many full-text poems.

  • NoveList is a readers' advisory resource for finding new authors and titles.  It offers annotations and reviews of young adult and adult fiction.

 

  • AccuWeather is a detailed weather database, including weather news and forecasts and climatological information.

  • Discover is a career and college exploration program.  You need your own login to access the program.  See a library staff member.

 

  • AP Multimedia Archive is a searchable database of AP photos from the 1840s up to minutes ago!  It also includes graphics, text, and audio clips. 

 

  • iClipart.com is our newest graphics database, including clipart, photos, web graphics, fonts and more.

 

  • Atomic Learning is an electronic help desk to assist you with your favorite software programs like Excel or PowerPoint or Word. 

  • Soundzabound is a database of royalty free music.  Download and use copyright-safe music files in MP3 format from this website.
