  • AP Images is a searchable database of Associated Press photos from the 1840s up to minutes ago! In addition to photos, it includes full-text articles, audio clips, charts, graphs, tables and maps from the Associated Press archives.  This database is provided by Iowa AEA Online.
  • Atomic Learning is an electronic help desk with thousands of short tutorial movies covering many common software applications such as Word, Excel, FrontPage, MovieMaker, Photo Story, Powerpoint (from Microsoft); Acrobat, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Photoshop (from Adobe); netTrekker, Picasa, Geometer's Sketchpad, Inspiration/Kidspiration, and KidPix.  This database is provided by Iowa AEA Online.

  • BookFLIX is a literacy resource which pairs videos of classic storybooks with related non-fiction.  There are author profiles, activities, and links. This resource is provided by Iowa AEA Online.

  • Britannica Online is a suite of online research tools including the well-known encyclopedia presented for elementary, middle/junior high, and high school students; the Learning Zone for grades PreK-2; primary source collections, student activities, teacher tools, pictures, audio, and video, as well as current periodicals and related websites. It also includes special databases: 21st Century Explorer; Enciclopedia Juvenil (Spanish-language resources for younger students); Global Reference Center (resources in Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, French); Student News Net; Annals of American History; World Data Analyst; Ben and Bella (English immersion); and Merriam-Webster's Third New International Unabridged Dictionary.  This database is provided by Iowa AEA Online.

  • CultureGrams is a searchable database with cultural information.  The World Edition (JH and up) covers over 200 countries. The Kids Edition covers over 100 countries.  There are also editions for the States (US) and Provinces (Canada).  This database is provided by Iowa AEA Online.

  • EBSCOhost offers a collection of databases providing full-text articles from hundreds of magazines and newspapers, and selected reference tools. Our subscription includes High School Magazine Collection, Middle School Magazine Collection, Elementary School Magazine Collection, EBSCOhost Espaņol, and several different search interfaces including TopicSearch, Student Research Center, and Kids Search.  For educators, the Professional Development Collection/ERIC database is available.  This database is provided by GWAEA.
     

  • FollettShelf is a virtual bookshelf of eBooks.  Nearly 400 books are currently available. This resource is provided by GWAEA.

     

  • Gale eResources is a suite of databases providing access to full-text articles from magazines, newspapers, and reference tools.  This database is provided by Iowa AEA Online.

  • iClipart For Schools is a searchable database of nearly 8 million royalty-free images, including clip art, photos, web graphics, illustrations, fonts, sounds, animations, and videos selected for students and educators.  This database is provided by Iowa AEA Online.

  • Learn360 is a multimedia database with other online resources and tools for students and educators.  This database is provided by Iowa AEA Online.

  • netTrekker is an educational search engine that connects students and educators to over 300,000 educator-selected web resources.  This database is provided by GWAEA.

  • SIRS Issues Researcher is a general periodical database containing thousands of full-text articles covering various social, scientific, health, historic, business, economic, political, and global issues.  This database is provided by Iowa AEA Online.

  • Soundzabound is a database of royalty-free music.  Download and use copyright-safe music files in MP3 format from this website.  This database is provided by Iowa AEA Online.

  • Teachingbooks.net includes original movies and multimedia interviews of authors, book guides, book readings, thematic booklists, book awards, and valuable links.  This database is provided by ICCSD.

  • Teen Health & Wellness is for junior high and high school students, providing information on health-related topics and issues.  This database is provided by Iowa AEA Online (to junior high and schools only).
     

  • TrueFlix contains the Scholastic True Book content, including videos, audio, images and text. This resource is provided by GWAEA.

  • WilsonWeb provides access to several collection development databases for teacher librarians: Children's Core Collection, Middle & Junior High Core Collection, and Senior High Core Collection.  These databases are provided by GWAEA.
