West High Forensics
The 2010 Kanellis Overnighter is 15-16 January. We are hosting here at West and attendance is MANDATORY for ALL speech and debate students. This has been on our schedule since the beginning of the year. If we don't have enough students present to run the tournament, our season ends now. See Melanie for work schedules.
TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTS
Signup sheets are on the doors of rooms 232, 128 and 117. Each sign-up sheet has a deadline posted. This is the signup and payment deadline. If you do not pay necessary fees by the deadline, you will be dropped from the tournament.
The Program
Iowa City West High School is a member of the National Forensic League, The Iowa High School Speech Association, and the Iowa Forensic League. As a member of these organizations, the ICW Forensics Team will compete in many local, state, and national level competitions during the course of the 2006-2007 school year. These competitions are designed to help students improve on the many fundamental skills that will be necessary in the future. Students who participate in debate and speech will have the opportunity to explore, research, and analyze many contemporary issues that have a direct impact on the society in which we live. Furthermore, students will travel to many different schools in Iowa, the Midwest, and the United States. Therefore, forensics provides a unique opportunity to meet other students from around the country.| This website was last updated on
