Principal's Message
Hello and welcome to Tate High School! Stephanie Phillips, the principal of Elizabeth Tate High School, graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in English and a MA in School Administration. Stephanie has taught English as a Second Language, Language Arts, American Studies and 8th grade Science. She was Iowa City Community School District's School Improvement Facilitator for ten years prior to becoming the principal at Tate. Stephanie's family includes husband Harry, children Heather, Zoe and Dov, son-in-law Drew and granddaughter, Hailey. As a former waitress, egg bucket washer, and CNA, Stephanie believes that education opens doors of opportunity.
