The team's lyrical and novelty pieces received Division I Ratings. Iowa State Dance Association hosts high school dance teams from all across Iowa from Class I to Class V.

At the State Solo competition in November all five City High soloists received Division I Ratings.. Seniors and captains: Jill Stephenson, and Mo Sharp. Juniors: Mary Sharp and Catherine Suchanek. Sophomore: Caitlin Danielson. Only the top 10 soloists are named at the contest and Iowa City High’s Mary Sharp received 9th place overall in Class IV soloist category.

This competition brings together teams and soloists from around the region, showcasing the best dancing in the Midwest. Maureen (Mo) Sharp placed 2nd in the Senior soloist category. Mary Sharp placed 4th in the junior soloist category.

Team members are seniors Jill Stephenson (head captain), Mo Sharp (captain), Andrea Oropeza ( captain). Mikaela Easton, Robin Olson; juniors Mary Sharp, Ashley Streb and Catherine Suchanek; sophomores Caitlin Danielson, Natalie Jones, Erin Helm, Kelsie Stoddard, Emma Hanson and freshman Kellee Darner.
